Mindfulness & Stress Management
Mindfulness & Stress Management is designed for the part of you that is tired of living in constant tension-waiting for the next crisis, replaying old conversations, or lying awake at night while your body refuses to settle. In these sessions, I teach gentle, accessible practices that help your nervous system remember what calm can feel like. Present Moment Awareness Training gives your mind a place to land other than the past or the future. Together, we practice noticing what is happening right now-in your breath, your muscles, your surroundings-without judgment. Many clients are surprised to find that even a few minutes of this kind of attention can reduce racing thoughts and create a small pocket of ease.
Mindful Breathing Techniques are often where we start when anxiety is high. You learn simple, repeatable ways of breathing that signal safety to your body, so your heart rate, muscles, and thoughts can gradually slow down. These are tools you can use in traffic, at work, or lying in bed at 3 a.m.
In Mindfulness-Based Stress Management and Stress Reduction Therapy, I weave these practices into the real stressors of your life-family demands, work pressure, trauma reminders, or health concerns. Instead of asking you to escape your life, I help you bring mindfulness into it, so you can respond from a steadier place.
My approach is trauma-informed and flexible. You will never be asked to close your eyes or sit still longer than feels safe. Over time, many clients notice they are less reactive, more grounded in their own bodies, and better able to return to themselves after a hard day, rather than staying overwhelmed for hours or days.
